SPACE STEP brings multifunctionality to the cabinet base: it creates extra storage space behind the toe kick and, at the same time, builds a sturdy step into the plinth. Sneak more storage into space the kitchen already has — and put the top shelves of tall and wall cabinets within easy reach, right up to the ceiling.
The step was designed with safety in mind. A weight of just 18 pounds activates the anti-slip system, which securely locks the platform in position; the step surface itself supports up to 330 pounds. Children can safely lend a helping hand at the counter, and the bathroom sink or the top pantry shelf stops being out of reach.
Blum's motion technologies make the plinth level as effortless as every other drawer: combine SPACE STEP with TIP-ON BLUMOTION or SERVO-DRIVE for a touch-to-open experience, and the step closes softly with integrated BLUMOTION soft close. Beyond the kitchen it earns its place in laundry rooms, bathrooms, and children's rooms.
