Bi-fold and multi-fold folding-door system with magnetic aligner

With equal-dimension panels, the trolley fixes on the panel edge so the open-position footprint stays entirely on one side. With unequal panels, the trolley fixes mid-panel for accordion-style operation that distributes the footprint between two rooms.

The track recesses into the jamb or surface-mounts under the ceiling. The system slides on patented Fluid Technology trolleys with coated bearings and memory-shape stabilization spacers, tolerant of wall defects and misaligned tracks. A magnetic aligner ensures linear closure every time.

Versatile is Terno's evolution of the folding-door system — extremely flexible, configures as bi-fold symmetrical (1+1), bi-fold asymmetrical (½+1), or multi-fold. Heights up to 3 m, weights up to 80 kg, top gap of just 6 mm with the Hide bracket.

Magnetic aligner

Linear close every time

An adjustable magnetic insert in each panel pulls the leaves to a perfect linear close every time. The aligner can be tuned to correct gaps between panels and lets the installer place panels one at a time without rebalancing the assembly.

Fluid Technology trolleys

Tolerant of wall defects

Large-diameter coated bearings paired with memory-shape stabilization spacers run between the bearings and rigid support. The trolleys absorb wall defects and out-of-plumb track installations, sliding uniformly across the rail length.

Butt hinges

Precise stacking on >40 mm panels

On panels thicker than 40 mm, included butt hinges ensure the leaves stack to a precise alignment when opened. A no-hinge variant is also available for compatibility with most market-standard invisible hinges.

Ceiling-mount option

Surface-mount under the ceiling

When jamb-recessing isn't an option, the rail surface-mounts directly to the ceiling with the same Hide bracket and 6 mm gap geometry. Either-side install (reversible kit) means a single SKU for left- or right-handed openings.

Symmetrical (1+1)

Two equal panels with the trolley fixed on each panel's edge. The full open-position footprint stays on one side of the doorway.

Asymmetrical (½+1)

Two unequal panels with the trolley fixed mid-panel. Accordion-style operation distributes the open footprint between two rooms — best for narrow openings.

Bi-fold & multi-fold

The same hardware extends to multi-leaf stacks for closing wide compartments where a single bi-fold can't span. Configure 4, 6, or more panels in coordinated fold.

Reversible — either-side install

The kit is mirror-symmetric: install left-handed or right-handed from the same SKU. No site-specific ordering, no swap-out hardware.
