DC175 is the heavier-duty sibling of DC135 — same cam-action geometry, same surface-mount arm, but built for wider and heavier leaves up to 44 inches. The strength range steps up to EN 3–6, which covers oversize residential entries, multi-family corridor doors, and the high-traffic openings in office and hospitality projects where the leaf cycles thousands of times per week. The default surface closer once the leaf gets large enough that DC135 is being run at the top of its strength range.

Heavier mechanism

Same cam-action geometry as DC135, but with a heavier-section body and larger spring — handles leaves up to 44 inch wide and the higher cycle counts of office and hospitality use.

Strength range

Field-adjustable across EN 3, 4, 5, and 6. The 5 and 6 sizes are needed on oversize entries (44 inch+) and on doors exposed to draft loads from corridor pressure.

Fire rating

Tested to EN 1634-1 for FD60 fire-rated leaves. Same certification chain as DC135 — drop-in replacement where the leaf size has grown.

Where we specify it

Oversize residential entries (>38 inch), multi-family corridor doors, office and hospitality interior doors with high cycle counts. The default surface closer once DC135 is undersized.
