Eclipse 2.2 is the high-load version of Eclipse, sized for the CB Massima frame and 2-3/8 inch leaves (oversize, acoustic, and primary suite doors). Same concealed body, same 3D adjustment, but a heavier-gauge hinge mechanism that handles up to 80 kg per pair — the threshold for 8-foot solid-core leaves and acoustic-rated doors that approach 60 kg before hardware. Specified whenever the door exceeds the standard residential leaf weight.

Heavier mechanism

Larger pivot bearings and a deeper-section body let Eclipse 2.2 carry 80 kg per pair vs Eclipse 3.0's 60 kg — the upgrade for solid-core, acoustic-rated, or oversize leaves.

Same adjustment

The same 3D ±3 mm adjustment as Eclipse 3.0 — vertical, lateral, depth. Field calibration after installation works identically.

Frame compatibility

Sized for the CB Massima frame profile (2-3/8 inch leaf rebate). Not interchangeable with the Minima frame — the depth and width are larger.

Where we specify it

Oversize doors (over 84 inch tall, over 36 inch wide), acoustic-rated leaves, primary-suite doors that need to read substantial, and any leaf with embedded glass or LED that adds significant mass.
